What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a specific method of working on the feet that affects the entire body. The application of pressure to the feet assists in enhancing wellbeing by improving circulation and stimulating the nerve endings of the body thus allowing the body to work on healing itself and achieve a state of good health naturally.

Reflexology is a simple, holistic, non-invasive form of therapy. Its purpose is to unblock energy channels, reduce tension, improve circulation, and promote balance within the body. This allows the body to heal itself, thus achieving a state of good health naturally.

Why work on the feet?

The feet have reflex areas that relate to all the organs and systems within the body. These reflex areas are found on the soles, sides and tops of the feet. By working the feet it is possible to find out which areas of the body are out of balance then the appropriate treatment can be given to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanism in order for the body to rebalance itself.

Reflexology can help to:

  • Reduce stress
  • Address digestive imbalances
  • Pacify chronic pain
  • Encourage relaxation
  • Nurture emotional well being
  • Activate conception
